Brief Answer:
seems to be drug reaction or food allergy.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having swollen tongue. I would like to ask you few more details.

Is there any itching over tongue ?
Is your swollen tongue associated with burning sensation ?
If possible please attach a clinical picture for a better evaluation.

Kindly get back to me with the details.

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be due to drug reaction or due to food allergy or due to infection.

I suggest the following measures to overcome your swollen tongue.

1. Take anti allergic medication like tab.citrizine 10mg at bed time.

2. Apply steroid containing oral gel (over the counter) thrice daily.

3. Do not wear dental appliances.

4. avoid food allergens like peanut or egg.

5. Take multivitamin tabs daily one tab for 1 month to cover nutritional deficiencies.

6. stop taking pain killers like aspirin, ace inhibitors (anti hypertensives).

In case of persistence, need to visit an ent surgeon to rule out other causes.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
least possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Most of the tongue burns show ulcers with burning sensation.

Some of the tongue lesions can be diagnosed only by naked eye examination. Kindly upload the picture with high magnification, so that I am able to comment on your present status.

Mean while, follow my instructions.

Take care.
