Brief Answer:
Benign thyroid cyst

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

As per the ultrasound report, you are having a benign cyst in the thyroid gland. The thyroid function test is normal.

Thyroid cyst has to be operated if it is large in size or causing any symptoms like pressure in the neck or cosmetic reasons.

The surgery required is either total or hemithyroidectomy depending upon the gland involved.

in your case cyst is large and involves only right side, so hemithyroidectomy is required.

Surgery is safe in good hands and no frequent hospitalization is required unless there are any complications.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care.
