Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Tooth Ache
Question: I have a horrible tooth ache with swelling, pain and sensitivity. I am having to make it until I can get to a V.A. facility tomorrow. I have purchased and have been using clover oil, Tylenol and aleve. I am in pain. What else can I do ?

I am so sorry to hear about this toothache. As someone who has suffered from toothache, I understand your pain. Stronger pain medications are often required. However, this requires a doctors prescription. For now, i will want to optimize the dosage and frequency of your drugs for best relief as stated below. I will prefer Advil over Aleve at this time.
Tylenol: 1000mg every 6hours
Advil: 600mg every 8hours
Continue with the clover oil.
With this dosage and frequency, it would act as a stronger pain medication. Please, take it continuously until you see your doctor and do not skip any dosage. When the drugs are not taken regularly, the benefits are hugely decreased.

there is there are signs of abcess spreading in facial tissue on same side as tooth. can feeling pressure increasing. I believe a penicillin prescription may be necessary...do you agree?
