Question: I have been under a lot of stress because I have disfunctional family that keep my blood pressure going to 215/115 pulse 115. I've had a stroke and now a stint in my heart. I've lost weight, I'm down to 77 lbs. My lower back hurts and when I get out of bed, my pulse rate goes up and I'm very dizzy. I'm alone and I can't get up to get food. Am I alright or do I need to go to the hospital?

Brief Answer:
For evaluation you should visit to a hospital.

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking

I can understand your concern. You has stroke and blood pressure was very high at that time. The weight loss is progressive. You have symptoms like pain in back, difficulty in getting up from bed, rapid pulse rate and dizziness. These symptoms can't be ignored considering the history of stroke.

One possible reason for these symptoms is postural hypotension. The rapid reduction in blood pressure occurs especially in getting up from bed. This could lead to dizziness and compensatory rapid heart beat. This should be checked properly because antihypertensives could worsen this.

ECG should be done for any cardiac cause.

So please visit the hospital at least once for evaluation.

Thanks and Take care
