Question: I just got over a stomach virus & high fever from last week . I am still on medication for this for a few more days . I feel generally better , going to the bathroom normal no more nausea or diarreha . But still a little tired. But the real thing that is driving me crazy is that I still feel like I have a fever, my head is very warm to the touch ... But no fever!.. my temperature is normal . I tend to get like this from time to time in the past as well .... Same thing , no temperature . Can you give me an idea of what could be causing this feeling ? ... Thank you

Brief Answer:
Electrolyte loss is cause of tiredness

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to answer your query.

I am happy that you have recovering well.
According to me feverishness is seen because of 3 reasons:
a. Infection is of viral origin
b. You are in the period of convalescence
c. Medication is yet be completed

However the signs of recovery and wellbeing that you have reported gives a positive clue that the infection is subsiding and the minimal infection which is still there is manifesting as feverishness and tiredness.I were to suggest you to complete the course and you shall definitely see a full recovery and fantastic improvement.

Tiredness is because the electrolytes are probably low.Advise with Oral rehydration solution(2 lt/day for 3 days) to compensate for the loss of electrolytes.Have plenty of oral fluids, fresh fruits and salads for a faster replenishment of body electrolyte stores.

Hope this answers your query.Get well soon.

Brief Answer:
Could you upload the reports

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing me back.

Could you please upload the reports so that it can be reviewed?

Feverishness can be due to an elevated thyroid hormone levels.Have you got a recent thyroid profile done?
I were also recommend a CRP test.Though it is non-specific elevated levels gives rough idea of underlying condition which have to be further evaluated and identified.

Hope this answers your query.

My thyroid levels were checked out they were fine.I have no hypo thyroidism or hyper thyroidism. I cannot upload reports because I'm doing this over a Smart phone and do not have access to the reports via my phone.
