Suggest Treatment For Sprain In Ankle With Swelling
Question: fell down while walking over steps and got sprains near anklet. near anklet it has been bulged with full pain, its difficult to walk.

There is only one way to find out. You need to get to the hospital of your choice and get x-rays done of the ankle and have them seen by the doctors there.
In the meantime, you can use a plastic back filled with ice to elp numb the area and bring down the swelling. Tablet Brufen 200mg every 4-6 hours as needed will help control the pain till you arrive at the ER.
In my opinion, you should go as soon as you possibly can. If there is a fracture, there should be no delay in beginning treatment for the same.

we have taken her to hospital, Xray showed she has mild fracture near anklet and have ligament tear. doctor suggested surgery for ligament tear as it may causes 20% less function.
She has been taking treatment for fracture and for ligament tear we are yet to decide what to do.
