Suggest Treatment For Soft Tissue Injury On Head

Question: My son was in a car accident almost a week ago. He hit his head pretty hard on the driver's side window. He was obviously driving. The bump is squishy and almost feels like there's a hole in his head. He has had no symptoms of any kind - no headache, no confusion, no vomiting. The bump is just sensitive to the touch. It has not gotten any smaller or worse since the accident. Is this something to worry about or will it clear up on its own?
