Suggest Treatment For Skin Irritation On The Upper Leg
Question: I have a break in the skin in the upper leg area next to the crotch. I can't seem to get it cleared up. I have been using triple antibiotic cream but it wont clear up. Any other solution?

Please give some additional information for me to assist you better:
Since when is this present?
Any medical problem like diabetes?
Is the atmosphere hot and humid in which you stay or work?
Itching/ bleeding/ weeping or any other symptoms.
Please post clear and focused photos if possible as it helps sometimes for on-the-spot diagnosis.
In the meantime:
Clean the area with plain warm water, make it dry with cotton cloth or hair dryer and apply liquid Povidone iodine/Betadine to keep the area sterile; allow the liquid to dry up.
Take multivitamins.
The break in continuity is usually due to the following reasons:
Hot and humid atmosphere causing more sweating and itching, thereby causing trivial injuries causing sub-clinical infection bacterial or mixed with fungal; thereby causing persistence.
Multivitamins deficiency adds to the problems.
Activities that stretch on the already ailing skin.
Hence finding the instigating and enhancing factors and prevention and treatment of all these can lead to the effective treatment.
