Brief Answer:
Has to be managed conservatively.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that shin pain can be due to variety of reasons most commonly being mechanical and management remains conservative.

I would like to know if you get pain while walking or during resting or lying down position also. Are your both legs affected or just one is affected. Plus if there is any history of trauma , history of smoking .

And if you have got reports of your metabolic profile , calcium levels , vitamin D levels along with DEXA scan. With this history I will be able to help you better by trying to reach to the appropriate cause and then treatment will be advisable to you .

Take care.

Brief Answer:
Any history of varicose veins.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,

Thank you for reverting back.

Please answer all the questions that I have asked . Sinec you say that the swelling subsides after resting it means its a non inflammtory swelling . Sometimes in varicose veins such things happen .

Have you got clumps of blue veins on your legs , behind the knee etc.
