Question: I have been diagnosed with severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea and need some advice on what CPAP machine to buy before I go to the sleep clinic which will be in a couple of months and what pressure to set it at?

10-15 is optimal pressure to start with.

Thanks for the query.
CPAP is now boon for the OSA patients.
For the optimal pressure setting you must have undergone titration study during sleep study itself and your report must be revealing this.
If not then you can start with the pressure of 10 cm H2O and gradually increase as per your comfort level.
Now auto titrating machines are coming which adjust the pressure as per the need of the patients.
Brand wise Resmed, Philips are good brands. Choose the mask as per your comfort level. Oronasal mask is commonly used.
