Question: I slept well last night but awoke this morning with one the most severe migraines I have evey experienced, it was accompanied with a horrible pain in my neck, nausea, I took one of my prescribed migraine relievers at 6:30 am and another at 9:30 am, the pain is still very severe in my neck it feels as though someone is hammering the base of my head. I have only had this one other time, but it went away upon taking my first dose. This pain is not subsiding, should I seek medical treatment?

Brief Answer:
Seek ER help if necessary...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry to know about your condition.

Migraines at times is known to become severe due to complex factors involved. Though rizatriptan is a very good agent, I do not allow more than 2 dose in a days time. If your pain hasn't relieved yet, it is worthwhile to seek a doctor for medical help at the ER. I feel you might need shots preferably opioids to bring down the pain.

Hope this helped. Let me know if you need any clarifications.

Regards
