Question: I recently was stung by 3 yellow jackets, causing a very itching area where each sting was. I had a severe head cold 2 weeks earlier. now I have allergy related asthma and am treating with OTC meds. Zertex and mulsenex DM-- They are helping , but after 3 days of this, any other suggestions for relief.

Brief Answer:
Present medicines not sufficient to treat asthma

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
Your allergy is mild if it is limiting to itching.
If you have wheezing then there is asthma and the medicines you are on are not sufficient. It would be better to see a doctor, get yourself examined and treated.
If you are unable to see a doctor then montelukast ( Singulair) and Ventorlin expectorant may give relief.
Take care.
