Question: My husband has a cough that gets worse when he lays down to sleep, he spits up mucus once in a while, which is white and yellowish, This has been going on for several weeks.

How long does he have this cough?

Is there associated breathlessness?

Is he a smoker?

Does he suffer from any other ailment and is he on any medication. Does he suffer from excessive acidity. Is he allergic to dust and smoke?

Sometimes in elderly people phlegm accumulates in the throat and cause irritation resulting in cough. Do answer my above queries and he may have to undergo a complete check up. In the meanwhile you may give him a tablet of montair lc and pantodac daily.
