Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Kindly ask your daughter the following to advise accordingly.

Is there any pain/itching over the area or not?
Is there any other area of the body involved ?
In the start was it a single bump and is it spreading ?
Did the lesions appear after shaving the axillary hair recently ?

There is pain (area feels raw) and itching. Multiple bumps on one armpit, woke up this morning with one bump in the other armpit. Started before shaving, but hurts after shaving.

Since I didn't get an answer to my question, are you going to reimburse the $15 back to my account?

Brief Answer:
Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

Based on the image you uploaded and the history you detailed, the lesions appear to be Hidradenitis Suppurativa. It is an inflammatory disease starting with the sweat glands of skin being blocked leading to swelling, inflammation with extension and scarring The treatment involves local hygiene care, washing the area clean with povidone antiseptic. Two week of optimum dose antibiotics should be required as its a relapsing condition. Local Neosporin should be continued. Try to wear loose clothes to avoid excess sweat in the axillary region. Steroids can be added as a next step both orally and topically if there is inadequate response within a week. In severe and persistent or recurrent disease which is unresponsive to medical therapy , surgical consultation may be required with a deep and wide excision of the skin with the lesions along with a clear margin of at least 1.5 cm. However, most patients respond to the antibiotics and surgical approach is reserved for complicated cases only.
