Question: I have a red pimple like bump on the head of my penis. I'm unsure if it's normal or an std like herpes. I have had it for a few days it doesn't seem to be poping or getting smaller or larger.

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have developed infection of Glans Penis (Ballanitis) .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Did you have unprotected sex before you developed this bump?
2) Were you aware of HIV or STD status of a woman whom you had sex with?
3) Do you have any urinary symptoms or urethral discharge ?

You need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to establish diagnosis .
1) Swab test and culture of a fluid form the lesion
2)Urine culture
3) Basic screening tests for STD and HIV.

In the mean while start taking broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxicycline along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
