Brief Answer:
It is normal. Nothing needs to be done about it.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. Let me assure you that for a baby of this age, it is normal to pass stool several times a day or even after each feed. Alternatively the child may pass stool once in 10 days and that is normal too. It is also normal to pass green stool or a combination of yellow stool. The green colour occurs due to rapid transit through large intestine where the bile pigments do not get adequate time to convert to the yellow colour of stool.

You need not give Enterogermina although you can. All you need to do is to continue to exclusively breast feed your baby.

Feel free to write back.

Hi,
I understand the answer. actually since march 1 till April 1, he was passing stools once in a day or sometimes after a day. But now this tendency of passing watery stool has started again. Can it be due to heat? as we we are in Madhya pradesh and he also has a slight running nose along with this.

Brief Answer:
Not due to heat

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Sorry for the inadvertent delay. The variation in stool frequency is normal. It is not due to heat. You can give Atarax Drops 0.3ml thrice daily for the running nose.

No need to worry.

Hi ,

Thanks for the answer . We are in XXXXXXX which is in Madhya Pradesh so it is relatively hot and dry now . And we have a pet at home . Labrador .. I wanted to ask if I should go for air purifier and humidifier as my elder daughter has constant nose block and cough ..

Brief Answer:
Air purifiers unlikely to help

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. I do not think that air purifier or humidifier is needed although the significance of the latter is relatively more. It seems that the allergic tendency runs in your family. I do not think that air purifiers would help in this regard.
