Question: Hello, My shoulders and upper arms are wore out from caring for my mother now in a nursing home. I have much pain, maybe arthritis. What can be done to diminish the pain? It is now bone on bone, how do I know because I have had my knees replaced. Thank you. Gayle

Brief Answer:
Painful shoulder joints

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

You have painful shoulder joints .At your age of 75 years you are more likely degenerative osteoarthritic changes in your shoulder joints and excessive use only aggravtaes the soreness of the joint and surrounding shoulder girdle muscles.
You need to take analgesic . Since you are already on warfarin, you have to take opiod group of analgesic e.g. Tramadol and local application of analgesic ointment and or heat application to have relief of pain and restore the mobility of shoulders.
