Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump Near Rib Cage After Injury
Question: I was kicked in in the area of my right rib cage (beneath my right breast) by a horse two years ago. I was ok and as far as I know no ribs were broken. However in the last year or so a moveable squishy lump has formed over the area where I was kicked in the shape of half a small cucumber. I get intermittent pain in the area as well. I have a lipoma in my right armpit which started about 4 years ago and has now doubled in size so I am guessing I am a candidate for lipomas. I am a 55 yo female of average weight and in pretty good health otherwise. I haven't been to a doctor cos I am scared he will tell me it's liver cancer as I do like to drink wine. I realise this is pretty pathetic ...

I studied it in full details which are put forth by you and understood your concerns of it being Liver Cancer? as you are fond of wine.
-Dear There is a good news for you that Prima-facie -the tumor mostly is not a Liver Cancer.
In my opinion-you have 2 lumps-
1-one of the 2 lumps-is mostly a -Right sub-mammary squishy soft "-Resolving Chronic Hematoma" for the following reasons-
a-Its present since last 1 yr and has formed and has been located at the site of the horse-kick-2 years back.
b-That lump is movable and squishy and is painful intermittently.
2-There is another lump -in the right armpit-
a-Which is there for last 4 yrs
b-and which has been increasing fast lately and has doubled almost, indicating acute on Chronic-lymphadenitis in the armpit got lately infected.
But still I would advise and suggest to have ER Surgeons consultation.
I would advise and suggest you to ask for -a FNAC BIOPSY of -Both
a-Sub-mammary lump and
b-Armpit lumps- both these lumps though painful need to be ruled out for the possibility of Hidden Cancer Breast and Cancer armpit-in axillary tail of breast / or of the lymph nodes with metastasis in the armpit -that is Axilla.
This is badly needed, specially due to the Cancer Prone Age-of yours which is 55 yrs.
So I await for the HPR report of the Sub-mammary and armpit lumps.
Till then, I would suggest following Treatment-
a-Anti-inflammatory and painkiller drugs x 5 days
b-Antibiotic Cover x 5 days
c-USG guided FNAC-Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy or the PET-Positron Emission Tomography- Scan guided 2- Lump Biopsy
-This would help you to resolve the worry attached with these lumps and the cancer worry you had.
