Question: I have a keloid on my chest which is very painful. What type of proceedure is best for removal.

There are a number of methods to remove such a keloid. The decision is based on preferred procedure and expertise of the surgeon operating.

Simple excisional surgery can be advised and the tissue can be sent for histopathology.

Laser , cryosurgery, imiquimod and 5 fluorouracil are equally viable options and can be done if facility is available.
