Suggest Treatment For Painful Arm Post Injury

Question: broke radius of right arm about six weeks ago - my hard cast was removed one week ago and now have soft cast which i can remove.

I'm not real happy about the look of my injured area and still having so much pain that I need norco, which i hate to take.

I have my "cast removal" apt tomorrow with x-rays. I'm so scared! I just went back to work after coming off of 2 years of disability - things are going so well here.

I'm afraid that pins and/or surgery may be required. If so, will I be able to type? If I have to out for more than one week I will lose my job.

This on-going pain really interferes wity my overall quality of life.

I guess I'm looking for some kind of reassurance - I have bben told that radial fractures are "simple" to treat.......

I think I'm going to have to ask my ortho for another small prescription of narcotics to enable me to wrok.

Overall, I'm very scared!
