Question: hi my wife got stiches on vigina because of pregancy. it has been 30 days. she is having problem with it sometimes while sitting . please let me know when it will be healed? and would it come out of its own.

Thanks for contacting healthcaremagic.

If there were stiches on episiotomy during delivery , then it should have healed by now. Most likely they have applied non absorbable sutures for her thats why probably she is having pain while sitting else they usually dissolve with 2-3 weeks ideally.
If the sutures are non -absorbable, then they have to be removed .
It is advised that you may review with her gynecologist for removal of sutures and if the sutures have absorbed and yet she is uncomfortable, then it means that she may have had infection which has contributed to incomplete healing. This can be deciphered only after a local examination.
