Suggest Treatment For Pain And Numbness In Leg And Foot

default
Posted on Wed, 9 Sep 2015
Question: My friend for last month and a half has complained about her right leg really hurting. It is on the back side right above the knee. Know she says she is experiencing numbness in leg and foot after having leg bent for an extended period of time. She says it does not feel like how a torn muscle would feel. I am extremely worried that it could be a blood clot. She is only 27 years old but she does smoke. Please help.

Brief Answer:
Can be cyts or thrombosis

Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,

i don't want to cause any overworry, but a thrombosis is possible and should be ruled out by ultrasound very soon. Another possibility is a cyst of the knee, which can also be diagnosed by ultrasound. If a patient with those symptoms comes to my office that is what i usually do immediately, so that specific treatment can follow.

Best regards
