Brief Answer:
Consider a trial with seroquel if not done

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and sorry to know that despite adequate trial with different medications the insomnia, nightmares continue to stay in your life.

Although it is possible that you may have tried seroquel in past to deal with insomnia but in case this option was not explored till date I will recommend use of seroquel in low dose such as 25 mg at bedtime.

You may argue that the seroquel comes from group of anti psychotic medications but there is need to know that at low dose it acts as an excellent sedative and mild tranquilizer.

I am recommending this based on my personal experience with many middle age individuals while having major transitions in life such as retirement, elderly parents, financial problems and lot more.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
