Suggest Treatment For Multifocal Choroiditis

default
Posted on Sat, 11 Jul 2015
Question: I am suffering from Multifocal Choroiditis - multiple lesions have been seen on my retina - which partially impairs my vision - initially partial blindness was there which later improved on medication. But, vision in left eye is not normal - the image gets distorted. I am on (i) steroid-Wysolone since March 2015 - had started with 1000mg IV Injection, then 60 mg, now 50 mg, which would be tapered off slowly. (ii) I am also taking AKT2 - one tablet daily ( earlier, for two months I had AKT4 tablet) and (iii) started Azathioprine since XXXXXXX 2015. I have been also prescribed PAN40,Labadex and SHELCAL.

Kindly advice (1) whether line of treatment is correct?
(2) When should I ideally take AKT2 Tablet- before breakfast or after meals? One dose is one tablet-once a day? ( AKT4- which earlier I was taking has set of four tablets, while AKT2 has only one type of tablet)
(3) Any suggestion for expediting recovery and further treatment may please be given.
