Brief Answer:
Treatment of Moluscum

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to Healthcare magic

I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone to your query.

Molluscum contagiosum is an in infection caused by a virus. Clinically the lesions present as pearly white dome shaped lesions with some of them having a central dent or pit. Although the lesions may resolve on there own as well but that may not happen always, therefore as far as possible they should be treated. They may even spread to other sites by autoinoculation. Various treatment methods are: Needle extraction, Chemical Cautery, ElectroCautery etc. Topical Imiquimod cream is a feasible option in small children because they usually do not allow extraction by needle or Cautery.

Brief Answer:
Molluscum

Detailed Answer:
HI

Imiquad 5% cream. It is a prescription product, therefore I would suggest that you get a prescription from your treating dermatologist, before trying it.

It has to be used once daily, 5 consecutive days in a week and then 2 days off and so on. Treatment may be required to be continued for 12 weeks
