Suggest Treatment For Moles And Pimples On Face

Question: Hi,

A quick skin question. I have regular skin checks but have quite a few moles, marks and pimples so get a bit paranoid.

This is a very tiny mark on the inside of my nose near my eye (attached) and wondered if this looks like a tiny mole/freckle or block oil gland/pore. Not great photos but if i look really close and pull the skin taught it kind of seems more like a little blocked oil gland (i think i can see a tiny pore hole in the middle) but from a far looks more like a tiny mole or frecke (On one photo you can see a slight dark edge which when you look closely I think is just tiny vein under the skin, there is lot of little veins and tiny yellow dots around that area). I have other comodones and sebaceous hyperplasia and stuff on my face.

Also this lays right under the nose pad on my eye glasses would this hurt it?

Thanks for your help.

Brief Answer:
Its an ephilide

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am Dr. Kakkar and I have read your query and I have also reviewed the Images.

The pigmented lesion on the side of nose is a 'freckle'- flat, XXXXXXX macule with well defined margins. Freckles are common on sun exposed skin e.g face.
Yes, I can see a few thread like capillaries- telangiectasias on bridge of nose. Those are a part of sun damage.
I suggest you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen, throughout the day, specially the one with spf 50 or more.

Regards

Should I worry that my glasses rest on this?

Thanks. And is it normal for these things to show up? I can't really remember if its been there for a while or not?

Brief Answer:
Freckle is quite common

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Freckles are quite common in fair skin individuals. They are due to increased activity of melanocytes in response to sun exposure.
