Topical and Oral antifungals

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have understood your concern.

You seem to have fungal infection of groin.
Groin is a frequent site for fungal infection, specially in summers because of the warm, humid conditions that prevail in body folds which encourages growth of fungus.
Fungal infection of groin usually presents as red, itchy, scaly patches.

If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to use a topical antifungal cream e.g clobetasone butyrate 0.05% + micoanzole nitrate 2% cream, twice daily for 4 weeks.

In addition to topical antifungal cream I usually also suggest an Oral antifungal in my patients e.g weekly dose of tablet Fluconazole 150 mg for 4-6 weeks.

Topical and Oral antifungals are prescription medications and therefore should always be taken under supervision of a dermatologist.
I suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your vicinity for a confirmatory diagnosis and for the needful.

An OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily in evening will provide you saymptomatic relief from itching.

this problem is throughout the year... not just in summers... now these skin death happen only at selected spots and does not spread. i can peel the read skin like a layer..when the skin is removed it exposes the underlying soft red patch and then burns when contacted with water.

Brief Answer:
Topical and Oral antifungals

Detailed Answer:
Fine.

Fungal infections are more common in summers but they can also start in winters and can continue for weeks or months if left untreated.
Visit a dermatologist in your vicinity for a clinical confirmatory diagnosis.
For a confirmed fungal infection I would suggest treatment with both Topical and Oral antifungals, together, as mentioned in my previous reply.

Regards
