Brief Answer:
Possible but rare.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Welcome to health care magic.

Herpes simplex virus (HSV) is caused by either HSV 1 or 2.HSV1 is common around oral area and HSV 2 around genitals.
Both can occur around oral areas or genital areas. Both are known for recurrence.

It is not clear about the type and site of herpes in your situation.
Usually they manifest in one area. They do not present in both areas. But there are possibilities of auto inoculation in other areas.

So wash hands frequently.
See that you do not self inoculate into the normal area.
You can get back for any clarification.

Thank you
