Brief Answer:
headache, fever and chills can occur in most infections

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Headache, chills and fever are in keeping with an infection, these are symptoms that can occur with most types of infections.

The fact that he is also having problems urinating however, implies that the symptoms may be related to the urinary tract.
Constipation symptoms are not usually associated with an infection unless there is obstruction of the bowel , in that case a person would also have cramping abdominal pain, bloating, not able to pass gas and may sometimes also have vomiting.

If a person has a reduced appetite, this can cause constipation.

It would be best for him to be seen by his doctor. In addition to physical examination, he may also need blood tests such as complete blood count (looking for infection) and ESR (checks for inflammation in the body).
A urinalysis may also be required as well.

If a bacterial infection is suspected and confirmed then antibiotics would be needed.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions.
