Suggest Treatment For Genital Wart After An Unprotected Massage

default
Posted on Wed, 11 Jun 2014
Question: I have been on this forum before. I had a single black flat genital lesion on my genital and I didn't know what it was . I got it about 2 months after I received an unprotected hand job from a masseuse abroad.i didn't know that STIs can be transmitted via genital to hand to genital contact. I think the masseuse didn't perform good hygiene and that was the reason I acquired the wart like substance. She had a client right before me.i got a body massage with oil for 15 minutes and at the end I got a hand job with oil. I can attach an image also and send it to you. I visited the dermatologist in XXXXXXX who has 30 years of experience and he said its a wart but said it's not infectious. When I asked him what he meant that whether it was hpv related he said no and he's 500 percent confident. Can a dermatologist distinguish between an hpv related wart and non hpv related just by using his instruments in his clinic.i think he used some blue light or something .Or is a biopsy required he told me clearly not to worry about it.He prescribed me fusidic acid cream and it should take care of it.i just have a single growth.it is black in colour.kindly assist me. I can send a picture too for clarity. Kindly let me know where can I send that

Brief Answer:
Seborrheic Keratosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Thanks for the pictures.

It is a Seborrheic Keratosis OR Seborrheic Warts. They are round or oval, feel flat or slightly elevated, and range in size from very small to a few centimetres in size. Clinically they have a "stuck on" appearance, as if they are pasted on to the skin

They are neither HPV related nor a wart. In common layman language, the term "wart" is used for a lot many lesions. That does'nt mean that they are actual warts caused by HPV.

Treatment is often not necessary.

Removal of the individual lesions with CO2 Laser vaporization OR Electrocautery OR Radiofrequency can be easily done.

Dear doctor, my concern is that I got this roughly 2 months after receiving a hand job. It was a little raised before but after applying alovera and fusidic acid it has become like this now.my queries in specific are:
1) Is it possible to aquire this from a hand job if the masseuse hadn't performed hygiene from her previous client.
2) my dermatologist prescribed me fusidic acid, that won't take care of it?
3) I am only 21 so is it possible to aquire a seborrhoeic wart on my scrotum, isn't it usually in older people
4) I want to perform a penal swab for HPV just for my mental satisfaction so if I swab my entire genital is it possible to detect HPV dna from using a swab on the genitals .My exposure was 5 months back.thanks.

Brief Answer:
Seborrheic keratosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi

1)No. Since it is not an infection
2)Fusidic acid won't take care of it.
3)Commonly in older individuals but it can occur early. No doubt it is a seborrheic keratosis. It is a benign thing, anyways.
4)Yes, you can go for a swab test from the genital mucosa. It would detect HPV, if you were infected during that particular sexual act with the hand, provided you did'nt acquire HPV from another sexual exposure before or after that.

Just added a few more pictures for clarity. Since this is my final post I would like to ask my main questions:
1) is a penal swab for hpv testing accurate at 5 months for dna testing. The hand genital contact was my only exposure.or would the strain go dormant.
2) is there can incubation period for dna to appear in the swab test?
3) are you totally sure that this is a seborrheic wart
4) Main QUESTION-CAN THE SWAB TEST FOR HPV ON THE GENITAL DETECT HPV DNA EVEN WITHOUT WARTS AND LESIONS AND CAN IT BE ACCURATE.
5) Is it POSSIBLE to transmit hpv via hand to genital contact.i had a body massage and then had a handjob for 5 minutes in the end.so is it possible that the virus might die in 15 minutes which was obtained from the previous client during the massage.
Kindly help me sir.i know these questions are a lot but I'm dying of worry as I am getting married. Please give me detailed answers.i will rate you as the kindest thanks.

Brief Answer:
HPV tests

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

The swab can detect the virus even if you don't have clinical warts as warts have a variable incubation period and may not become manifest clinically for even days to months after infection, but HPV can still be detected with tests.

Looking at the pictures I am fairly sure about the diagnosis.

It is possible to transmit through skin to skin contact, be it genital to genital OR skin to genital.

Whether it was the immediately preceding client which she got the virus from Or some other client in the past, that is impossible to know. Since, I said before that the incubation period of infection, can vary from days to months, therefore you cannot suppose that she got the infection from the immediately preceding client.
