Brief Answer:
Hetrazan / Banocide forte

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
This is called Filaria.
This is a parasite like malaria and causes the blockage of the lymphatic channels if the legs and other parts.Lymphatic is the second channel like veins which carry blood to the heart and the lymphatic vessels carry the fluid in between the cells back to the heart.

Filaria usually causes swelling of the whole leg and foot.
The toes (fingers of the feet) are NOT Swollen in filaria.
You may get fever with chills at mid-night.
Red streaks / lines appear on foot and legs.
There can be swollen lymph nodes in the groin.

The only treatment is by a medicine called Hetrazan / Banocide forte for for 21 days.
I hope your Doctor has already started you on this medicine.

Please consult a General Surgeon in your area to get a confirmed diagnosis and further treatment.

You may please attach the photographs of the foot with toes, and legs so that I can help you more.

You also need the following investigations:
-Smear of the blood on slide taken at 12 midnight and other tests of theblood, urine and stool.
- Ultrasonography with color doppler of the affected limbs .

I hope this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis, and get a proper further treatment. Please feel free to ask for more or if you need further clarifications or if you feel there is a gap of communication.
