Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Yes,it frequently happens that patients on syndopa don't show an effective response if they are running fever, although the mechanisms for the same are not pretty much clear.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Thank You Dr. XXXXXXX My father used to take Pramipex along with Syndopa. However after consulting Dr. XXXXXXX Muthane we discontinued Pramipex after he started having Hallucinations. I have 2 questions

1. Can we use any other medicines during fever as Syndopa alone is ineffective and his mobility is severely impacted.

2. Can you refer us any doctor in XXXXXXX or XXXXXXX for my Dad. We like Dr. Muthane but traveling to XXXXXXX is becoming difficult

Brief Answer:
Entacapone/Rasagiline

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

I understand that Pramipex may potentiate hallucinations. In this scenario, Rasagiline or Entacapone can be tried for combination. Please discuss with your treating physician, regarding opting any one out of these. That will probably be of help.

If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
