It can be allergy or inflammation of the eye.

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having feeling of heaviness around eyes.
This can be because of inflammation of eye lids, inflammation of eyes, dry eyes, refractive error.
Symptomatic relief can be obtained by use of artificial tears eye drops.
Please give me more details yo answer more accurately.
Do you have redness, pain, watering, itching of the eyes?
Do you have any difficulty or dimunition of vision?
Do mention the name of the eye ointment prescribed by your optometrist

Do get back to me with the details I have asked so that I can answer more accurately.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you

Yes i do have some slight pains as well . And itching a couple of times. Find it hard to look at computer screens or bright light which is unusual for me . Its mainly the pressure around my eyes i feel mostly which i think leads to headach. I was given two things by my optician, but they dont seem to improve my condition. I was given an eye drop called Alcon Ciloxan and i was also given an eye ointment called Chloramphenicole

Brief Answer:
It indicates eye allergy and dry eyes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

It seems from the history that you are having difficulty in viewing bright light, computer screens and itching.
These symptoms indicate allergic condition of the eyes with dry eyes.
I would like to treat these conditions with anti allergic eye drops like olopatadine and artificial tears.
Your optometrist has given antibiotic eye drops in the form of ciprofloxacin and antibiotic eye ointment in the form of chloramphenicol.

Hence I advice you to start anti allergic eye drops and artificial tears and do consult eye doctor for eye examination.

Hope the information is helpful to you.
