Brief Answer:
Edema post cipro

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You recently took cipro i assume for an infection and now you are experiencing swelling of your arm. This is unusual presentation for an allergic reaction to cipro. If you received the cipro via IV in the left arm then I would be concerned and would recommend you see your medical provider. You could have developed phlebitis from the injection.

If you took the medication orally then I would not think this would be an allergic reaction as a reactions would be systemic and basically everywhere not just your arm.

I would though recommend that you see your medical provider because you may still have phlebitis of the arm from other causes. Then you would need specific treatment for the phlebitis. i.e. anticoagulation.

Brief Answer:
Not critical but do not wait 2 weeks

Detailed Answer:
It is not a critical need but I would not wait until next week. I recommend calling and ask to be seen tomorrow and tell them you may have phlebitis of your arm.
