My mouth goes dry if I talk too much. I am a teacher, so that is hard... My bigger concern is the dry heave that follows. I also feel like my tongue is swollen, though it isn't. This has gone on most of my life but has become much more frequent

Brief Answer:
Dentist evaluation needed.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

Since there is no other health condition ( I assume ), that may explain dry mouth, then an examination of your mouth and salivary glands by your Dentist is necessary to assess the correct diagnosis.

In cases where there is insufficient saliva production, medications such pilocarpine and cevimeline may be prescribed by your Doctor.

Those drugs stimulate saliva production.

Simple remedies that may help overcome your problem include siping water or ice chips frequently, chewing sugar free gums, avoiding caffeine, alcohol and tobacco, or saliva substitute such Biotene Oral Balance.

Hope I helped you.

Best regards.

Brief Answer:
Activated vomiting reflex by thick saliva.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

You are vomiting probably by the activation of the vomit reflex and receptors located in your throat.

This reflex can be triggered by thick saliva too.

Hope I helped you.

Greetings.
