Suggest Treatment For Desmoid Tumor

default
Posted on Fri, 30 Jan 2015
Question: I have had four surgeries in the last three years. I had a desmoid tumor removed from my breast underarm area which was from a trauma. I also had a cylindrama tumor removed from my head. It took three surgeries to get clear margins. My surgeon did not know any diseases connected to these tumors. I need to find a doctor in XXXXXXX to help me manage my health and help me keep from any recurrences or surprises. Where do I look. No doctors have ever heard of these tumors.

Brief Answer:
Yes, these two tumors are probably unrelated

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for your query.
Though the cylindroma took three surgeries to get clear margins, the outcome should be good. These tumors seldom recur if excised properly. Still, you need to be under regular follow-up.

You can consult Dr Verneeda XXXXXXX practicing oncologist. XXXXXXX Alaska Medical Center
3200 XXXXXXX Drive
XXXXXXX AK 99508

Hope this helps,
Regards
