Suggest Treatment For Colorectal Lymphoma

Question: I was diagnosed with colerectal follicular lymphona of the rectosigmoid region. I had a CT and PET scan which showed no evidence of active disease in the chest, abdomen or pelvic area and more specifically no uptake in the rectosigmoid area to suggest active disease. What does that mean specifically?

Thanks for your query.

This is a rare situation. I assume that surgical removal of the lesion has been done. And now the CT scan is clear. So it is stage 1 disease. This can be cured but as this is a rare scenario, treatment recommendation may vary.

I would like to treat this with chemo immunotherapy with rituximab plus bendamustine or CHOP protocol. But single agent rituximab is also possible, as is local radiotherapy.

Thank you. The tumor is on a fokd in the rectosigmoid junction. It has not been removed. That is what makes the odd to me. The PET scan indicated that there was no active disease. Your thoughts? Thank you .
