Brief Answer:
No,It will subside like the previous one

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

I have seen the picture you have attached.
Due to playful behavior the children are more susceptible to traumatic injury. Most of the time these injuries are mild in nature and the common sites of injury are head, legs and arm.
The swelling usually subsides within 7-10 days. Its just a coincidence that she has got injury both the time at the same site.So don't worry,it will also get healed like the previous one over a period of time.
The hematological evaluation is needed when there is bleeding/swelling at unusual sites(like joints) or there is spontaneous bleeding like skin rashes or bleeding from oral, nasal or genital orifices.
I would suggest you to observe the swelling and to notice whether there are any other bleeding spots.
I would also like to mention that you grand daughter is so cute.:-)

I shall be glad to answer if you have any more queries.
Wish your family good health

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX for your feedback. The main concern is that the first time it took 8-10 weeks, and is looking like the same time-line now.

Respectfully,

Brief Answer:
If this time also swelling lasts for a longer duration consult a doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome again

You are right. It's unusual for a swelling to persist for 8-10 weeks as in most of the cases it get resolved usually maximum by 4-6 weeks.
Still this does not suggest any hematological disorder.
My suggestion is that observe the swelling and if this persists for a longer duration, consult a hematologist to cut down your anxiety.
Regards
