Facial Melanosis is a possibility, will need more information before I can help you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

You have given very little history.. You said you have black pigmented spots or patches on face. And you have dark lips. I would like to ask few questions, please answer.

- from how many days you have black spots?
- do you have symptoms like itching, burning or pain on the spots?
- do you suffer from acne? Or did you suffer from acne or other disease on face in past?
- do you apply any cream on face? Any cosmetics you use? Any soap or face wash?
- your Job?
- do you more exposed to sun?
- any systemic disease? Any medicine you take?
- family history of any disease?
- any bad habit or addiction like beverage, tobbacco or smoking?
- any lesions on skin elsewhere?
- lips are black. Duration? From childhood or of short duration? Any cream you apply on lips?

Please answer above questions. And I would like to see the photos of affected parts. So,please post the photos of face from different angles.

I might guide you in better ways for your problem after getting your answers and photos.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Facial melanosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome back...

I got answers from you. But, you did not post the photos of your face.

I read answers of my queries. After reading, I feel that the black spots may be postinflammatory hypermelanosis. And that may be due to rupturing the acne lesions. After healing of damaged acne, hyperpigmentation might have occured.

So, first of all, if there is acne, that must be treated. Antibiotics like azithromycine or minocycline may be taken in proper doses for few months. Anti acne preparation like clindamycine gel may be applied on active lesions of acne.

For hypermelanotic spots and patches, depigmenting cream containing kojic acid may be applied. Orally, glutathion, vitamin C and nicotinic acid containing tablets may be taken for long time. Kojic acid and glycolic acid containing face wash may be used to cleanse the face. Have patience for the result.

And, your upper lip is black,as you said. You may be right, the black colored lip may be due to smoking. So, please stop the smoking. Many other diseases may be prevented.

I hope this answer would be great help to you.

Still, any query..you may ask.

Thanks with best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Facial melanosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Please do not remain confused. I did not get photos as you said. You can send reports to YYYY@YYYY and subject as ATTN: Dr. Ilyas Patel
Anyways, your problem is mainly color. You worry about black spots. If your acne lesions are healed, you may go for treatment to reduce pigmentation.

Depigmenting cream or gel containing kojic acid like kojiglo or kovite active gel may be applied on the black spots along with oral preparation of glutathion, vitamin C and nicotinic acid after consulting the dermatologist.

Strict follow ups may be needed. Please consult dermatologist nearby and have perfect treatment.

I think, this would be helpful in managing your disease.

Thanks.
