Brief Answer:
Better to see your doctor before restarting.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for writing to us.

Sazo 500mg contains Sulfasalazine as the active ingredient, which is a gastrointestinal anti-inflammatory agent. As prolonged use can cause side effects like alteration in blood count, oligospermia, renal damage, hepatitis etc it is better to see your doctor rather than self restarting the drug.

It is used in anal fissure when fissure occurs, secondary to other conditions like ulcerative colitis; and usually not in primary anal fissure.

If primary anal fissure fails to resolve or recurs on supportive treatment with topical agents and diet modification, usually we go for surgical treatment, which is mostly successful.

Kindly see your doctor further management. A general surgeon or surgical gastroenterologist can guide you better.

Meanwhile, try to make your stool softer by including enough fibers in the diet and maintaining good hydration. Cut down the proportion of non veg/spicy/oily items in the diet.

Hope this will answer your query.
Be free to ask further questions if any.
Thank you.
