Brief Answer:
Please provide specific query...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through the medical history of your brother and feel sorry for the situation he is in.

I have gone through his reports too. Acute pancreatitis is a common complication after gallstone surgery. If necrosis and ascites are also present, then, his condition is critical.

I think they are doing their best for your brother there at ICU. You can pray for him to get better again and pray the medications will succeed in improving his condition.

If you can provide a more specific question, I'd be grateful as it might help me assist you better. What specific help you are asking me for?
Thank you! God bless your brother!

Brief Answer:
Severely damaged pancreas....

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

Thank you for following up. Please find the following answers to your queries:

- How much time it takes to recover....

It will take few time to recover, from several weeks to months.

- How critical and what complications ad risk one should have on this treatment..

As long as there is liquid, it means that pancreas is severely damaged. With regards to other vital organs' status, according to lab tests you have uploaded, I do not notice any serious alteration in blood creatinemia/azotemia, etc.

- They are planing to drain this infected fluid by next week

If the liquid will be drained from ascites (liquid inside peritoneum); it is a very simple technique to perform.

If pseudo-cysts are being formed and infected, and the doctors intend to drain them, then, this is a more complicated procedure. It might require :
- monitoring of vital signs
- monitoring his blood profile
- run coagulation testing
- good preparation for possible complications (hemorrhage, hematoma, etc.)

Wish fast recovery! God bless your brother and all of you!
