Question: Hi Doctor I have acne with black spots my derm suggested me to use deriva cms cream with doxycycline 100 mg every day ..I used it for 25 days but it worsened my acne..then I revisited my derm she prescribed me isotorin-10 mg and clindac a gel twice a day.i have been using this for last 4 days..i didn't get new pimple.but marks are thers. When I can expect improvemnets with this combination of isotroin and clindac a gel?is that fine?

Isotretinoin is a very effective drug in the treatment of acne vulgaris but you need to be patient enough to see any significant improvement. It takes atleast 4-6 weeks to show response and full control may require upto 4-5 months.
The combination of isotretinoin and clindac a gel is very good and you should continue using both.
