Brief Answer:
Acute pancreatitis can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Such pain along with her symptoms can be a sign of acute pancreatitis, peptic ulcer or even kidney stone.
In case of pancreatitis, her abdomen should be hard like a stone. Any pressure should cause the pain. And vomiting should appear even after liquids intake.
In case of peptic ulcer, the pain is dull, localized in the middle and left abdominal side.

Kidney stone should cause also frequent urinating, burning while urinating. Trace of blood in the urine can be present.

Please check her heart rate. If its more than a 100/minute, please call the ambulance. This may be urgent.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

This is " The girl friend" My name is XXXX.....I have had symptoms for 5 years,....the signs are not consistant, and they go away after vomiting, or dry heaving. I woke up fine,...went to the restroom and my left side starting cramping to the point, I would vomit,..."Dry Heave",...my cramping eventually subsided,...as it does all the time... It took four hours for the cramping to stop,....I slowly drank hot tea with lemon and honey,..and ate vanilla low fat yogurt,....slowly,..over a period of an hour..... I have had an ultra sound and a cat scan, and MRI in the past.....Doctors cant find anything.....Accept where it looks like my left kidney is larger than my left,..and where there is extra fatty tissue surrounding my kidney...... I don't know what elst to do, ..or what kind od specialist to turn too.... Im scared, and afraid,...and don't want to waste money. I am open for any suggestions,.......

Thank you for your assistance and help.

Please excuse my Typo's........ My left kidney appears to be larger than my right...

Brief Answer:
Partial bowels obstruction can be the case.

Detailed Answer:
From your description, you may suffer from partial bowels obstruction. Strong pain, cramps, nausea, occasional gas and stool obstruction are typical for this condition.
It may be caused by some adhesions which block small intestine or large intestine lump (polyp or something more serious).
I suggest you to consult gastroenterologist. Colonoscopy should be done as the first step. If it will be negative (which is a good information), special CT called enteroclysis should be done as the next step. This test is able to tell if there are any small intestine narrow areas.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
