Brief Answer:
You should take specific treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
You should take specific treatment for Gout.
Corticosteroids and Ibuprofen will give temporary relief.
As Gout is a disease with increased Uric acid crystals , you should take steps to reduce this.
You should stop Alcohol if you are an Alcoholic.
You should avoid meat, fish and foods that increase purines.
You should not be overweight.
I prescribe specific medicine Allopurinol tablet 100mg once daily ,increasing dose by 100mg weekly till the Uric acid level comes below 6.
Nothing to worry.
It will come down.
Please consult your doctor, get examined clinically and get appropriate prescription.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
