Question: Hi Doctor,
I have gynecomastia, I have been suffering with this from 18 yrs. I did not go through any medication till date. it's been few years my chest is paining and I feel tenderness. I did research on this found that the "Surgery" is only ,and permanent solution for it. I am afraid, that I did not go any surgery till date, neither hospitalized nor taken medication for any health related issues.
I was wondering if you could help me in this regard.

Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Gynecomastia can be due to many reasons such as hypogonadism, cirrhosis or medications. Usually, it subsides within 2 years. As it has not subsided on its own, I suggest you get a blood test and hormonal study and complete investigations to find out the diagnosis.

Medications used to treat breast cancer may be helpful for some men with gynecomastia. These are prescription drugs hence you need to visit an endocrinologist/plastic surgeon for the same.

I hope this answered your query.
Regards
