Question: What should be the dosage of Ondem suspension for a 17 month old girl 9 kg weight who is vomiting

Brief Answer: 1mg is the dose. that should be 2.5ml Detailed Answer: Hi. The dose for a child in this age group is 100 MiCroGrams(mcg)/Kilogram in a single dose. 9kg's makes 900mcg. Which is the same as 0.9mg. Now 0.9mg is a tough dose to measure out, so it should be OK to give 1mg total. Depending on the syrup suspension you have 1mg will amount to different volumes of liquid. If you're talking about the same ONDEM Syr from Alkem labs. Then 5ml is equal to 2mg. Therefore 2.5ml should be right. I hope this helps.
