Question: Im on day 3 of no opiates. I was taking about 10 to 15 pills a day of the 10/325. I hate this feeling so much that I have seriously gone through all my phone contacts to see if I knew anyone who had anything happen recently so i could ask for 1. I need a break from this feeling. I have to work everyday, missing work right now is not an option. So eveyday this week I have woke up feeling more and more misserable eveyday and have some how got myself to work. What can I do to just get a break so I can get through my days. I feel so drepressed and so disgusted with myself. When I started taking these I had NO CLUE that they were this addicting. When I stopped one time I started feeling awful and someone told me your're withdrawing. I started looking it up and holy cow I called my contact right away because I couldnt stand the feeling. Now about a year or more later, I give up.. I cant afford it and I am so tired of coming up with expcuses for the doctors to give me some. Never in a million years did I ever see myself going through this. I look at other people and see how happy they are and all I can do is cry everyday and tell my co-workers Im just not feeling well. I wanted to go to the ER and tell them the truth and maybe they could help me get comfortable. I dont mind if i spin the night in there just to get comfortable and not feel like im dying and have the urge to call my connection but from what ive read thats the last thing i want to do because they'll mark me as a drug addict and send me to a treatment center and more importantly its on my charts forever??? I dont feel like a drug addict and that truly scares me. All I do it cry and feel so lonley. My fiance is amazing because i came clean with him and he so supportive but truthfully Im over feeling like this. My daughter askes me all the time if im goning to be ok. I tell her yes but i dont feel like i will be.

Brief Answer:
I think you know deep down that you need treatment but you need courage.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. Please note that you are addicted to prescription medications, and very very few people can get clean on their own, you need treatment and it includes medications to avoid the withdrawal symptoms. Reading your problem, I am very confident that you are depressed and this is dangerous to you and your beloved family. This I believe should be a turning point for you. Please take a leave of absence from work, get checked into rehab, I know many people look for a shortcut through this situation, but without professional treatment, I am afraid that you might not be safe for your family and yourself.

I don't think this is what you want to hear, but it is the ultimate truth and real sure way out, forget the feelings of failure and look ahead and make things right, don't look back, you are not going that way, look ahead for you are making a new life and this begins with treatment and rehab. Good luck and we are here for you for this journey.
