Brief Answer:
Depending on the layers of skin which are damaged, it can cause a mark

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Some injuries leave a mark for a long duration. The skin has several layers and if particular layers of the skin get injured then it is possible to have a mark for a long time.

2. Healing changes cause a scar formation and sometimes even after healing is complete, it is felt as a bruise though not associated with much pain.

3. Please send a picture of the area and probably we can have a more accurate discussion.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
Please consult your doctor if the wound has not healed even in two months

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. Your wound is slightly deeper and therefore the appearance. Such wounds usually heal in a month. I wonder why your wound is taking months to heal. (Sorry, I am unable to confirm if the surface of the wound is raw or healed from the picture)

2. If it is more than two months from your injury and the wound is raw on the surface, then please have the wound examined and get it treated for complete healing. I can see a yellowish area over the wound and I suppose it is healing tissue.

3. Please keep the wound area dry and apply antiseptic ointment if the wound is still wet on the surface.

Hope your query is answered.

Brief Answer:
The scar appearance is acceptable and the wound has healed as expected

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. Your wound seems to have healed as expected on the surface.

2. The slight skin changes in the third picture may stay for a longer duration and probably appears like a mark due to your light skin color. This is acceptable and over the next few months the scar area might slowly turn to a lighter shade.

3. However the wound has healed and does not require any further intervention.

Hope your query is answered.
