Suggest Remedy For Body-ache In A Person Suffering From Stage 3 Breast Cancer

default
Posted on Mon, 2 Nov 2015
Question: I have a history of stage 3 breast cancer and I've been having a few random, weird pains lately...and specifically I started having an intense pain early this morning, which sort of went away during the day, but now it is back and is even more intense and is spreading out. It started on the right side of my back about halfway down and now it has permeated the whole right side, front and back. The area just below my ribcage on the right is hurting so much...the liver area. Should I be worried?

Brief Answer:
I would recommend performing a complete check up

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to cholecystitis ( gall bladder inflammation) or right kidney stones.

I would exclude any cardiac disorders, related to this symptomatology.

But, your past medical history of stage 3 breast cancer is concerning about possible metastasis (affecting the liver, back bones, lungs, etc), even years after treating the primary tumor.

I would recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical examination, a resting ECG, a chest x ray study, an abdominal ultrasound, a thoracic column x ray study and some blood lab tests:

-complete blood count
-kidney and liver function tests
-PCR, sedimentation rate (inflammation)
-blood electrolytes, etc.

Further tests may be needed based on the above tests results (possible chest and abdominal CT scan, tumor antigenes like CA15.3, CA12.5, LDH etc).

Hope to have been helpful!

Feel free to ask any other questions, whenever you need!

Best wishes,

Dr. Iliri
