Skin irritations can be caused by man different things including allergies, dry skin, and exposure to irritants like poison ivy.
Some people are sensitive to certain metals like nickel that can be in some metal jewelry.
To take care of irritated skin or rashes, keep the area moist with a non-scented moisturizer. Avoid clothing friction if possible and try to keep the skin cool.
If it develops redness or is getting worse see a doctor for an evaluation
